How to Prepare for a Pest Control Visit
Preparation depends on the service being performed. Use this checklist to organize the conversation, then follow the instructions the team gives you for your visit.
Before the visit is booked
Confirm which pest or concern the appointment addresses and what is included. An online request begins the conversation; it does not confirm an appointment.
- Describe the areas affected and share relevant previous work.
- Ask whether an inspection is needed before a quote.
- Confirm the date, access arrangements and point of contact with the office.
Ask about people, pets and access
Tell the team about pets and any household questions that may affect preparation. Ask for treatment-specific instructions about access, belongings and when treated spaces may be used again. Do not assume the same instructions apply to every service.
Prepare only as directed
Before moving furniture, emptying storage or changing access to an affected space, confirm what the team needs. Bed bug, rodent, mosquito and general pest services can involve different preparation.
Know what happens after the visit
Ask what to expect, how to report continued activity and whether follow-up is part of the plan. Keep any written service instructions with your appointment details.
Questions? Let’s clear them up.
Do I need to leave my home during service?
Ask the team for the instructions specific to the work being performed. Requirements can differ by service.
Does submitting a quote request book a visit?
No. The team follows up on your request to discuss your needs and scheduling.
